Restaking Rewards

The restaking of stETH offers substantial financial incentives, making it one of the most appealing features of the goTAO platform. Restakers are rewarded in $GAO, and a portion of the total reward pool (approximately 25%) is specifically allocated for users who engage in stETH restaking.

Key Aspects of Restaking Rewards:

  • Dual Stream of Earnings: Users simultaneously earn ETH-based rewards from the original stake and $GAO from the restaking pool.

  • $GAO Rewards: These are calculated based on the amount of stETH restaked and the overall pool performance. $GAO tokens are distributed periodically, offering users frequent payouts that can be further staked or used for governance.

  • Compounding Effect: As users earn more $GAO through restaking, they can choose to restake these tokens (separately) or hold them for future governance participation, increasing their stake in the goTAO ecosystem.
